Okay, my first instinct was that this was a scam, but it now appears to be legit. Here I thought someone had hijacked the M33 server, loaded up a nasty clone site with a fake update to brick them all.

Damn, maybe I'm paranoid. But that seemed more likely than Dark Alex being M33.

on your web site dark-alex.org there is a link to the 3.71M33 CFW .. i've installed it and my wifi doesn't work a friend of mine bricked his psp after updating... so what's the truth .. i'm not accusing or something but it was nice before please .. if this is the end don't smash all the beauty till now! respect DaX / M33

We have taken good note from those errors that people have posted here and other forums. Even though, much "bricks" have come because some ppl have not read that "requirements" section from the readme, as it usual.

Unbricker will be released soon for the ones that have got some update errors and to use it on slim&fat.

Also, answering some questions, 1.50kernel patch will be just done for fat psp, plugins problems are about the kernel identifier apis (luckily psardumper is not affected :P), and all the rest stuff will be studied, but, as you have read on the readme, after that 2 new releases, no more will be released from M33.

I wonder who is going to takeover for 3.72 plus?

I like my PSP as updated as possible, and of course customised.

Fingers crossed for another gimmick name by Dark Alex or at least the rest of the M33 crew without him under a different name lol. :p
Also fingers crossed that the bugfixes in this kinda rushed version gets addressed "As bugfix release updates 1, 2, 3, 4 ect." before DAX quits.

I don't really understand..
1. U mean copy the update folder in the release.rar and paste it to the /PSP/GAME/UPDATE?
2. In the update folder, there is a EBoot.pbp, is it rename to 371.pbp or go sony website and download the 3.71 OFW and rename to 371.pbp?
3. Is the 371.pbp put in the update folder?
