Here recently knew about all of subtleties of format of JSO ("JSO is a not taking a place killer CSO. I'd like that M33 improve the installation of their CF with the add of lflash_fatfmt.prx lke OFW so bad block will be remap during the istallation of CF.

Play iso's with usb hosts
 

I'd like to be able to play my iso/cso files from my pc with usb hosts - since m33 3.52 updates 3 & 4 usb hosts now doesn't work anymore (probably due to the new xmb menu) It would be cool if we could somehow dissable this so that playing games via usb works again.

only if it is not working this way:

during flashing M33 custom firmware first files to flashed should be:
- Recovery Module
- USB connection files

so in any case of "something went wrong etc" Recovery will work

The progressive / component video out only on games sucks! The official firmware of 3.60 doesn't allow you to output video in interlaced mode through any of the non-component cables!

I was hoping it would be possible to circumvent the psp from stopped you running a game with interlaced tv out. Right now it checks and says 'in order to play a game with tvout you must be in progressive mode).

On LCD HDTV's it makes the screensize tiny as its pixel for pixel (unless the tv has a zoom function. It just isn't the same experience as it was back in the day (say for NES emulation)

I request the continue of ISO video CSO and DAX support for games and others addicional input plugins for a new custom firmware on 3.70 M33 and the way to put plugin remotejoy imbuted in custom firmware for play psp on screen of my home pc windows for fat psp because the fat psp not got the thing addicional tv out cables for play on my tv and because the fat psp not got the output tv out inserted on original fat psp's

Okay guys, now I have a request for the old fat PSP!
As we all know, PSP slim has a TV-Output.
It would be great to have that feature on the old PSP, too!
I thought about something like streaming the data to PC over USB while playing.

I know - there is some homebrew for this on the net, but its way too slow and it doesn't work on m33!

The Old PSP does not have the hardware to be able to do it. So that request is in my opinion very useless.

Well, ofcourse there is no TV-Out integrated in fat PSP, but I mentioned the USB connection to PC (and that there allready ARE some homebrew, that managed to stream data to PC while Playing).
So it is possible actually!

With the 3.70 firmware update, Sony give to all of us the "Playstation Spot" icon available, this new option (for non Japanese user) is really cool to download some new extra for our PSP.

But with 3.71 firmware, Sony just give back this nice option. :cray:

So please my dear loving M33 team, make this option available for all of us !! :drinks:

I believe it won't be hard for M33 Team to add a simple "Power off" option to VSHMENU for people with broken switch (or for those who would prefer turn off their psp that way).

Recovery Mode, change region to Japan, done.

i just wondering if PSP Internet Explore can be update? it detect on some web psp use Mozila 4.0 and the most new smartphone/pda use Mozila 5.0. possible to update the new internet explore? :fans:

Is a higher version of flash possible? Also is there a program to convert 1.5 kernel homebrew to 2.x+?

The psp internet navigator is programmed by Sony and doenst have any relation with Mozilla. If you want an improvement of Internet Navigator you should ask it to Sony, or maybe some homebrew aplication...
Anyway, PSP device with 32MB have a lot of problems with a lot of pages...

A playback facility for OGG (Vorbis) files (perhaps embedded into the "normal" XMB music player, if that's not too much work) would be great. :) Keep on rocking the PSP, Team M-33! *thumbsup*

I think the following little addons would be cool:
- Dynamic loading of Plugins like CWcheat, popsloader in the VSH home menu (The same way you can change CPU speed).
- Sleep , reset, power off option in VHS menu (same thing someone else suggested).
- Maybe prettier fonts/recovery menu. Preferably the same font sony uses for the POPS Home menu. I know its no big deal, it would just make the CFW integrate more seemingly into the official parts of the FW. Maybe this would not even possible due to RAM limitations, i dont know, but i read the wildcard firmware had a prettier Recovery menu hehe.

What about being able to auto-launch a song file when you start the PSP, so you can have an XMB background song, like on the Wii.

The recovery key change is still under study.. we won't probably implement it, as it's better to remember R = Recovery :)

Things like disabling the gameboot via the recovery, kernel autodetection, usb/nethostfs access, custom IPL use, tv/out, power vsh options, and other stuff that we have read might be studied.

VSH stuff like adding subfolders and submenus in XMB it's a bit messy, so probably it will be studied in the future.

About the basic/advanced recovery menu request, we won't probably make it, as the main advanced stuff is under "advanced" submenu.

@Be3f: We are awared about that, and we follow the investigations on that stuff. The best way to use right now 1.50 homebrew in slim is with noobz eloader1.0 (that modifies some 3.xx structure), as you might know.

Anyway, it's not too hard to modify the code to 3.xx kernel :P

The offical Sony Firmware is now at 3.71 for PSP Fat. So would it be possible to make a new update of M33?

Also make it a Easy Installer .exe file this time, because they are a quick way to upgrade and so far all of the 3 OE-A/M33 Easy Installers that I have downloaded so far didn't brick whatsoever, so I think that they are the way forwards for all offical M33 updates from now on.

Yeah, bottom line. I've had absoutely now problems with my PSP using any of the unoffical Easy Installers so getting them offically instead of the brick likely Zip Folders would be great, because all I'll have to do is click on my PSP drive and all of the files are put in the right places for installing.

So yeah that is truely the way forwards of Custom Firmware upgrading when you're already on an M33 Firmware.

One more request which, I guess, would make happy a lot of people ;)

There's already official multi disc game (ATHENA Awakening from the ordinary life), but to get it probably would be a problem (somebody from Japan?).

But if you could get that EBOOT, try to find out the way it works and allow every multidisc game to work without any swap tricks - that would be amazingly great!

Feature Requests for m33...
 

If it could be possible, i would be very happy if you could implant the following features into your next custom firmware:dance: :

1-A function to devine the time the gameboot plays in recovery menu.
2-A function to have groups/folders in GAME, just like there are groups folders in PHOTO, MUSIC and VIDEO.

You are a hack team so i dont have any doubts about your abilities:good:

ofcource you decide but i think these features would be very nice in the homebrew scene.

BTW: I recently saw a noob on the official sony community asking sony if they could implant a function to play world of warcraft on the psp...:poster_ban: :girl_crazy:

I don't know if this has already been requested, but i think it would be great if 3.71M33 would be able to use compotise video out for games. (rather than only component).

i don't even know if this is possible. it would be great though.

really, the video games are probably the psp screen's resolution, the video resolution is full dvd resolution... why can you use composite (lower resolution) for video (higher resolutuion than games) but have to have component (higher resolution) for games (lower resolution than video...)?

my guess is either sony wants to get people to buy new tv's (dono why, they don't have a monopoly on tv's with component inputs) or games have to use progressive tv output... which i doubt...

Plz add the "pandora battery creator" to the recovery (like 3.95gen fw). It will be very usefull when psp is semi-bricked.
